In the end it doesn't really matter. Both versions will install exactly the same software. Choose the version for the platform you are most comfortable using. Once aTV Flash has been installed on the AppleTV both a Mac and PC can be used to interact with the AppleTV.

aTV Flash can be installed on all AppleTV models, including those purchased outside the US.
